Effective Warm-up for Hobby Horse Training

Even though it looks playful, Hobby Horsing is a real sport – and just like any sport, proper preparation is key. An effective warm-up is essential for your Hobby Horse Training, as it helps prevent injuries, warms up your muscles, and mobilizes your joints. Even if you don’t feel like it, never skip your warm-up! To make it more fun, you can include your Hobby Horse in the routine. Here are two simple yet effective exercises that will enhance your Hobby Horse Training.

Hip Mobility
Good hip mobility improves your performance – especially for jumps. Sit on the floor, keep your back straight, and stretch upwards. If you need more stability, you can use your Hobby Horse for support. Move your left leg inward first, then your right leg, always returning to the starting position. Focus on slow, controlled movements and steady breathing – this is more effective than speed. Repeat the exercise ten times per leg to prepare your hips optimally for your Hobby Horse Training.

Back & Shoulders
A flexible back and well-stretched shoulders not only improve your posture but also make your movements smoother and more fluid. Stand up straight and cross your legs – either right over left or the other way around, whichever feels more comfortable. Stretch your arms upward, lengthening your body, and use your Hobby Horse for support. Then, slowly lean to the left, then to the right, always pausing briefly in the upright position. Breathe consciously: inhale in the center, exhale to the side. Repeat the exercise ten times for an optimal warm-up before your Hobby Horse Training.
